Hertz Z06 Rental

The 100 Anniversary Brings a Fast Surprise

For the super low price of seventy-nine thousand dollars and ninety cents, you can own a brand new Corvette Z06!  Sounds like a great deal doesn’t it?  Considering this machine is comparable to a supercar, it’s really not a bad deal.  But for most of us hard working middle class folks, it’s a stretch to make that twelve hundred dollar monthly car payment.  But look no further, as part of the 100-year anniversary of Hertz Rental Company, you’ll soon be able to rent a Corvette Z06 for only $249 . . . plus tax.

But this isn’t the first time Hertz has offered a high horsepower car as a rental, in the mid 1960’s a Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 was offered, and in recent years there’s a vehicle line referred to as the “Dream Cars” collection which include a Porsche 911, Nissan GTR and Telsa S model.

And now the 650 horsepower, LT4 supercharged 6.2L V-8 Corvette will send you to 0-60 miles per hour in just 3 seconds and will nearly top out at 200 mph.  One can think, with all of that power, if the rental version of the Z06 will be “tamed” down with a restricted ECU.  It’s already been noted in press photos, that the front chin splitter has been removed.

But! Before you jump out of your favorite arm chair and go to Hertz to test drive one -- for now, Hertz will only offer the Corvette Z06 rental in 6 locations including, Los Angeles, Miami, Tampa and Las Vegas.  Plus there’s a 75 mile restriction with the price of that rental fee.  So if you happen to live in Lincoln Nebraska . . . you’ll just have to keep dreaming.
